3/15/2016-The Pecos Spring League's two best teams squared off and played a great game. TJ Zarewicz turned in his second great pitching performance of the week for the Gears. He pitched 4 innings allowing 2 runs and striking out 3. He left with a 4-2 lead. Austin Rockford could not hold the lead. The pitched 2 innings allowing 4 runs on 5 hits. Manny Colon was the offensive force for the Gears. He went 2-2 with 1 walk. He hit a triple off the centerfield fence and a solid RBI double.

Ryan Harper pitched 5 innings allowing 6 hits, 4 runs, 5 strikeouts and 3 walks. Bryan Kloppe pitched 2 scoreless innings to get the win for the Apollos. John Nicholson continued to lead the way for the Apollos. He went 2-3 with 3 rbis including a double off of the right field wall. Shane Billings went 2-3 with a key rbi double. Masa Kato went 3-3.

The Apollos and Gears are deadlocked at 4-2 in first place.
