CAPITAL SURPRISED BY STOCKADE!After 2 games to offer some opposition to the Capitals, the Stockade de Salina finally got the better Sunday afternoon in a 4-2 match at Stade Canac.
"I do not know how to explain it. We would have hoped to see an offensive explosion. This is inexcusable, "pampered manager Patrick Scalabrini after the meeting.
Once again, the Capital offensive was quiet while the starter Brett Lee (0-1) found his way as the game progressed. Quebec was limited to 5 hits, for a total of 15 in 3 games in this series.
"They (Salina) have launched well, but we are not supposed to make them look like that. We must find a way to generate more points. I was hoping that today would be a one-way match. There are several guys who have to look at each other in the mirror. "
Its a 3rd inning for the Stockade that gave the appearance of the meeting. After escaping two walks to start the inning, Lee saw both runners cross the plate on a rare mistake from Yordan Manduley. A blunder of the shortstop player who carried the mark to 3-1 for the visitors.
Despite 7.1 innings on the mound (his longest outing of the season) and 10 strikeouts, Brett Lee suffered the loss. Two deserved points went to his record. Jay Johnson finished the match without any damage.
In addition to Lachlan Fontaines two hits, James McOwens first circuit proved to be one of the rare offensive moments.
