This game was played on 3/9/2018 at Coastal Park. Brett Marshall made his Houston Apollos debut striking out 7 hitters in 4 innings in complete dominant fashion. He allowed one base runner in four innings of work and also had an RBI single. Zech Zinicola pitched two innings of scoreless ball to close out the game for the Apollos.

For the Kingfish Thomas Nelson started on the mound and pitched four innings allowing 8 hits, 8 runs, 3 earned runs, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. Josephy Bertini pitched 1 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs.

Carson Lee went 3-4 for the Apollos with 3 rbis. Eric Maria went 2-3 for the Apollos. Julian Melton continued to hit for the Kingfish getting a pinch hit in his only at bat.

With the win the Apollos fall into a three way tie for first place at 2-1 with the Gears and Stockade.
