1/3/2018-The Pecos League of Professional Baseball and The Garden City Wind are pleased to announce that Randy Ralston and Ryan Klaus will take over leadership responsibilities for the 2018 season. Ralston and Klaus will replace Marcus Sabata, who accepted a position with The Jackson Generals, the Double AA affiliate of The Arizona Diamondbacks.
"Although I am excited to work with a first class organization like The Generals, I will always have a soft spot for The Garden City Wind," said Sabata. "I would like to thank The Pecos League, the Wind staff and the Garden City community for such a great experience. I have complete confidence that Randy and Ryan will do a fantastic job. The club is in good hands."
Ralston will take over as Director of Operations and handle the day-to-day duties of the team, including marketing and promotion. "I am thrilled with the opportunity to help out with The Garden City Wind," Ralston said. "The Wind is a great asset to the community and we look forward to a successful 2018 season."
Klaus title will be Game Day Director and he will take care of all game day aspects of the season, including game day operations and events. "As a supporter of the Wind since 2015, Im familiar with how important the team is to the community and surrounding areas," said Klaus. "Im excited to make the game day experience something that Garden City can be proud of."
The 2018 Garden City Wind season will kick off May, 24th vs. Trinidad at Clint Lightner ballpark in Garden City.
