8/15/2012-The saga of the Trinidad Triggers continued Wednesday with news that Kim Schultz had resigned from the
Trinidad, Las Animas County Chamber of Commerce.
"Kim was instrumental and 100% responsible for the success of the Triggers through all struggles the city has had with the Ed Gil de Rubio situation and their water district issues, she kept things together mid season when we went through a field manager change. Our office in Trinidad was in the Chamber building, I would expect that to change now. I am not sure the Chamber will be able to operate without her. This is a major blow for the city of Trinidad not just the Triggers. All of the people that recruited the Pecos League to come to Trinidad are gone." says Andrew Dunn of the Pecos League.
The Triggers have been the bright light in an otherwise very tough year in Trinidad Colorado.
The Community has made it clear that they want the Triggers to stay in Trinidad. The Pecos League will not announce the new field manager in Trinidad until things are settled within the City.
The Pecos League is committed to regrouping and getting ready for the Triggers to play in the 2013 season in the Northern Division against Pueblo West, Farmington and Santa Fe. The Pecos League will be meeting with Trinidad and Pueblo the first week of September to finalize schedules and move forward with the 2013 season.
