6/18/2012-As we are approaching the halfway point in the Pecos League it has been a season for momentum and right now the Alpine Cowboys have won seven games in a row, the Roswell Invaders have won five games in a row and the Las Cruces Vaqueros have won three games in a row. These three teams are separated by just one game for first place. At the end of the season the top two teams will host playoff games. White Sands and Trinidad are
On the other hand Trinidad has lost three in a row, White Sands has lost six in a row and Santa Fe has lost six in a row. All three teams that are losing are in process of making overhauls to their rosters. Teams have had heated exchanges with league umpires in past nights forcing the Pecos League to re arrange umpire schedules.
These streaks will collide when Alpine and Roswell square off with each other this weekend. Someone has to win when Santa Fe plays Trinidad a four game series. White Sands and Trinidad are within a game of each other for fourth place and one of the two teams will make the playoffs. Santa Fe could get hot and challange for fourth place as well.
