3/9/2017-The Houston Apollos defeated the Gears 9-0 behind a six inning, twelve strikeout performance from Ryan Harper. Cip Garza pitched a scoreless 7th for the Apollos. Daniel Cruz homered, Nick Vehlewald had a bases loaded triple for the Apollos.

Cameron Powers gave the Gears a quality start allowing one earned run in five innings of work.
