1/19/2017-The Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs is proud to announce its 12th and final Western Team in Monterey, California. The Team will be named the Monterey Amberjacks. The Amberjacks will play in the Western Division in the 2017 season with the High Desert Yardbirds, Bakersfield Train Robbers and California City Whiptails. The Monterey Amberjacks will play in historic Sollecito Park in the Middle of Monterey which has one of the best views of any baseball park.

Pecos League Commissioner and Owner Andrew Dunn "We are excited to play the 2017 season in Monterey, It gives the league the final puzzle piece to have four teams in an all California Western Division." Monterey is a beautiful Coastal City that is 118 Miles South of San Francisco and 320 miles North of Los Angeles. The Monterey City voted 4-0 to sign a contract to allow the Pecos League to play at Sollecito Park.
