2/7/2012-In the off season news where Alamogordo has installed a swimming pool in right field and Trinidad is creating their own beer, Roswell has found a way back into spotlight. Rawlings has begun production of the Alien Baseball which is a Rawlings Major League style ball with Lime Green Seems and Navy writing. The Invaders did not speak to or get approval from longtime A's owner Charley Finley but he would have surely given the thumbs up. Las Cruces Vaqueros director of operations Miguel Salcedo says "What is wrong with these people from Roswell? They have taken this alien thing too far. " When the computer image generated throughout Roswell local fans thought they were cool and can't wait to get one for themselves. Trinidad Manager Justin Lowery said "I wouldn't expect anything less from the league and from Roswell, I am surprised Rawlings can make a Lime Green Baseball. If it is Lime Green it will be in Roswell. It makes us want to beat them even more. " The Baseballs will be for sale to the public at the UFO Museum and on the PecosLeague.com Website in late April.
