8/28/2014-AJ PUMA ON LOAN TO ATLANTIC LEAGUE - Catcher/First Baseman, AJ Puma, has joined the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League. The Ducks turned to Puma as an emergency replacement. He remains under contract with the Triggers and is expected to return to Trinidad in the 2015 season. Puma becomes the first player in the history of the Pecos League to go directly to the Atlantic League, which is considered to be the top league in Independent Baseball. He joined the Triggers late in the 2014 season and saw action at both the catcher and 1B positions.
