1/13/2024-The Santa Fe Fuego have announced Jonathan Garza as 2024 field manager. In 2023 he lead the Monterey Amberjacks 2023 to their best record ever. Garza spent the 2022 season in the Pecos League Mountain Division with the Weimar Hormigas.

"We are ready to go, I am excited to be back in Mountain Division" says Garza.

The Amberjacks finished in 2nd place in the Pacific Division and had their best season in team history. Several Amberjacks will be joining Garza in Santa Fe as they make adjustment from sea level to 6000 feet elevation.

When it was announced the Amberjacks were not going to return for 2024 immediately Garza became top coaching candidate in league for available jobs. "Although we are extremely dissapointed in Monterey not playing in 2024 season, it is great news for Santa Fe to get back on track with Jon Garza as manager" says Andrew Dunn Pecos League.

The Fuego open their 12th season on May 30, 2024 against North Platte 80s at Fort Marcy Park.
