The Raton Osos (10-14) beat the Taos Blizzard (6-17) 5-2 on Monday at Taos Tundra behind Justin Pearson, who went 2-5. He singled in the third and eighth innings.

The Taos Blizzard had no answer for Evan Howard, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Howard held the Taos Blizzard hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Phil Richmond recorded his first win of the year for the Raton Osos. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out six, walked six and surrendered three hits.

Enoch Deaton (0-3) took the loss for the Taos Blizzard. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
