Bill Moore has announced his retirement from the Pecos League as a manager.Moore ends his managing career with a record of 274-233.
"I enjoyed it every step of the way. The League has progressed every year I have been here."Bill began his Pecos League Managing career in Santa Fe as the inaugural Santa Fe Fuego Manager.After going 23-47 in 2012, Moore turned the Fuego into contenders going 36-31 in his second year in 2013.
2014 proved to be the best year ever for the Santa Fe Fuego. The Fuego won their only Pecos League Championship going 48-24.This was Moore's most successful season. In 2015 the Fuego made a return to trip to the finals were they lost to Roswell.
In 2016 Moore connected with the Garden City Wind were the Wind won the Northern Division Regular season title going 38-26. The Wind lost to Trinidad in the playoffs.In 2017 Bill moved to Bakersfield to be the inaugural manager of the Train Robbers. The team qualified for the playoffs where they lost to High Desert.In 2018 Moore returned home to manage Tucson where the Saguaros won the Pacific Division Regular season title before losing to Bakersfield in the playoffs.2019 Moore manager his last year in the Pecos League in Wasco. His team finished 19-43 and it was only one of three years that he didn't qualify for the playoffs.
Over 251 players played for Moore in his eight seasons in the Pecos League.
Moore also managed his Garden of Gears team in the Pecos Spring League from 2013-2018.
