7/21/2011-Pecos League to host Spring League March 5-28 in Houston Texas.
The Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs will host a developmental Spring League in Houston Texas. The Pecos League will be at either 6 or 8 teams in the regular season of 2012 and will be seeking players. "In the 2011 season we signed around 45 players from various winter leagues and so we decided to have our own winter league with players specifically wanting to come to our Winter League." says Andrew Dunn of the Pecos League.
There will be between 4-6 teams, we have one team made up entirely of players from New York State put together by New York Federals owner Jay Acton.
we have proposals from teams in Australia and Canada to send entire teams as well.
Currently Pecos League Managers Chris Paterson and Keith Essary will be invited to coach at these camps. The Camps are a win-win for players who can improve their skills while attempting to get picked up by professional teams. The Pecos League is the lowest cost developmental league in the US.
