8/6/2013-Edison Alvarez was traded to the Gateway Grizzles of the Frontier League. Alvarez was the 2013 Pecos League Pitcher of the Year. He follows the footsteps of Brett Kennedy who was the 2012 Pitcher of the Year. Kennedy also signed with Gateway. Alvarez lead the Pecos League in ERA and won his only playoff start.
