What is the Amarillo Fantasy Lone Stars?
They are a fictional team representing Amarillo baseball.

Where do they play?
They play in fantasy land where anything is possible. Their home field is Lone Star Fantasy Stadium - a fantasy upgrade to Potter County Memorial Stadium.

What are the components that make this team and season?
Each of the 68 games this season are recapped in a Facebook post on two different Facebook pages, Border Baseball and Amarillo Lone Stars. Each has a recap of the Fantasy game and an Amarillo Baseball Trivia Challenge.

Who do the Fantasy Lone Stars play?
The Amarillo Fantasy Lone Stars play a 68 game season. Each fantasy game has an actual parallel game that has already been played and is listed near the top of each game recap. The stats, box scores and write ups from the parallel game determines the outcome of the Amarillo Fantasy Lone Stars game.

Who are the players?
Players for the Amarillo Fantasy Lone Stars are represented by one of the two teams in the parallel game; more often than not, they are on the winning team in the parallel game. The losing team players are the same as in the parallel game.

The players names?
The names of the Fantasy Lone Stars come from the classic Abbott and Costello skit, "Whos on First," and other reserve players with an Amarillo connection. The fantasy players in each game are determined by the positions they played in the parallel game. For example, "Who" is the likely at First and "Tomorrow" might be pitching. If the right fielder hits a game winning home run, its likely "Nobody" hit it. Hugh Blanton and Jim "Ball Four" Bouton had good seasons with the Amarillo Gold Sox and might be pitching on another night. If a player is having trouble, Tom Creek might come in to save the day. Is there a sponsor for the Amarillo Fantasy Lone Stars? Yes, Border Baseball, a longtime supporter of the Pecos League is entering the fantasy game updates on the Amarillo Lone Star Facebook page and are offering a prize for the "Amarillo Baseball Trivia Challenge." They duplicate and publish the same updates on their Border Baseball Facebook page.

What is special about the trivia game?
It is a contest that was originally planned for the actual Amarillo Lone Stars; a team that planned to use Potter County Memorial Stadium before their sub-lease was denied for the 2017 Pecos League Baseball season. It was an idea to keep fans involved in Amarillo baseball history with an entertaining nightly challenge that would always have a winner, and would have encouraged fan participation to assist the contestants. Since the real team didnt materialize, a cyber challenge is offered with the Amarillo Fantasy Lone Stars.

Is there a prize for the Fantasy Trivia Challenge: Yes, two season tickets to the actual Amarillo Lone Stars 2018 season, should they receive a lease next year; if not, a $250 cash prize will be awarded in its place.
