5/22/2012- The Las Cruces Vaqueros set the runs record in a single game on 5/13/2012 by defeating the White Sands Pupfish 26-13. Steve Rinaudo set the Pecos League Record by scoring 6 runs in one game. Unfortunately for fans the game lasted nearly five hours. white Sands thought they had things in control scoring six runs in the top of the first inning. Las Cruces had the Pupfish right where they wanted them. The Vaqueros scored six runs in the 2nd, 4th and 6th inning. The wind was blowing straight out to left field. The Vaqueros sent an amazing 44 batters to the plate in 8 innings. Pupfish pitchers managed to give up 21 hits and walk 8 batters.
