Brian Frazier went 2-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Trinidad Triggers (6-2) to a 5-2 victory over the Santa Fe Fuego (1-8) on Thursday at Fort Marcy Park.
He homered in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Christian Schneider picked up the win for the Trinidad Triggers. Schneider pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out four.
Bradley Thomas was solid at the plate for the Santa Fe Fuego. Thomas went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.
Luis Ortega brought the heat against the Trinidad Triggers during his outing. Ortega held the Trinidad Triggers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Eric Gleese (0-1) took the loss for the Santa Fe Fuego. He lasted just seven innings, walked none, struck out 12, and allowed five runs.
