1/4/2012-The Texas Rangers signed Jon Edwards to their minor league organization. Edwards pitched two innings for Alpine in their game in Del Rio, Texas vs the Carlsbad Bats. He also pitched for the San Angelo Colts earlier in the season and is a converted outfielder.
