This game was played on 2/8/2019 at Sam Lynn Ballpark

The Hollywood Stars felt right at home at Sam Lynn Park in Bakersfield on Friday Night as they defeated the Great Bend Boom 15-1. Donald Wanner Jr. got the start for the Stars and he pitched six innings with nine strikeouts allowing one and three walks. Tanner Klein, Chance Miranda and Trevor Wick each pitched one inning of scoreless baseball out of the pen for Hollywood.

Jordan Ackerman walked 4 times and hit a solo home run scoring 3 runs from the leadoff position for the Stars. Nolan Hoff and Jake Pulcheon each had two hits and scored two runs for the Stars.

Sean Kiley started for Great Bend and gave them a great start. He pitched four innings allowing 1 run while striking out nine hitters. Curran Lyons pitched two scoreless innings for the Boom and the score was 1-1 entering the 7th. Julio Marmol gave up two runs in the seventh before allowing eight runs in the 8th inning. Robert Kitts came on and allowed 4 runs in 2 innings for the Boom. The Boom managed just 2 hits.

Both teams resume in action on Saturday.
