The Alpine Cowboys (34-20) scored five runs in the eighth to cap a 14-3 win over the Santa Fe Fuego (25-28) on Wednesday.



Eric Herman racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Alpine Cowboys. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings and doubled in the eighth inning.

Bryce Weidman got the win, running his season record to 4-3. He allowed two runs over six innings. Weidman struck out four, walked four and gave up six hits.

Jon Sintes ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
