A.J. Alexander went 4-4 at the plate as the Las Vegas Train Robbers (25-19) took home a 5-3 victory over the White Sands Pupfish (21-24) at Aquarium on Friday. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second, seventh, and ninth innings.
Brian Chudy was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Las Vegas Train Robbers batters and allowing two runs.
Ernie Munoz was solid at the plate for the White Sands Pupfish. Munoz went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth inning and tripled in the ninth inning.
Jimmy Jensen improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. Jensen struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.
Justin Mauldin (0-2) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
