10/23/2012-The Pecos League is going to expand in 2013 and everyone has given their input as far as what cities are best and where the Pecos League would fit. Virtually every city from Big Spring to Bisbee to Durango to Lamar has been suggested or recommended as a great place to have a team. No location other than maybe Carlsbad would be better for a Pecos League Team than Las Vegas New Mexico.

Las Vegas is located on the Interstate directly in between Taos, Santa Fe and Trinidad. They have recently installed new field turf at their ballpark on the Campus of New Mexico Highlands. The surface would immediately be one of the best in the league and require almost no up keep. The town of Las Vegas would be great rivals for Santa Fe, Taos and Trinidad and really strike up some regional competition. There is a need for entertainment in the middle of the Summer.
