7/5/2012-It's official the Santa Fe Fuego have joined the Pennant Race. For the third game in a row the Fuego got a great start from Anthony Machado. Combine this with Trent Evins and Kyle Cormier and the Fuego have finally gotten the quality starts they have needed to compete in the Pecos League. It is real simple for the Fuego to make the playoffs they must beat the team in the other dugout which happens to be the fourth place Trinidad Triggers. The White Sands Pupfish have completely collapsed. Trinidad is very inconsistant and Santa Fe is getting better with every game they play. Their record is currently 17-31 but they only trail Trinidad by three games who is 21-28. They still play the Triggers six more times, including a huge series at the end of the season.
