8/13/2016-The Roswell Invaders outlasted the Kamloops Sun Devils 8-7 in their opening game in the World Baseball Challenge. Cody Bishop homered twice, Cody Coffman, Joey Miller and Kaohu Gaspar all homered for the Invaders.

Eric Gleese started for the Invaders and pitched 6 innings. Nick Bozman, Rob Rizzitelli, and Tyler Stirewald each pitched an inning as the Invaders held on to win.

Canadian Ian Horne from the Topeka Train Robbers hit third and served as teams DH. He was 2-4. Roswell will face team Japan on 8/14 at 4PM
