8/5/2016-The Tucson Saguaros outlasted the Roswell Invaders 8-7 to take Game 1 of the Southern Division Finals. Ryan Retz drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 13th with a two out double. Jimmy Heck hit a three run homer and drove in another run for the Saguaros. The Saguaros used a total of 24 players and 9 pitchers in the game.

The Saguaros took a 6-4 lead into the 9th inning where the Invaders rallied to tie the game. Cody Coffman drove in the tying run and made a huge defensive play to save the game for the Invaders.

Steven Borkowski pitche 7 innings with 10 strikeouts for the Saguaros.

The two teams will meet again at 7PM tonight in Tucson for game 2.
