The Roswell Invaders (43-22) shut the door early on the White Sands Pupfish (27-39), capturing a 13-1 victory on Tuesday at Joe Bauman Park.
With five runs in the first three innings, the Roswell Invaders left no doubt about the eventual outcome. A three-run double by Kaohu Gasper during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Roswell Invaders.
Joey Miller racked up six RBIs on one hit for the Roswell Invaders. He homered in the third inning.
Darrell Thompson brought the heat against the White Sands Pupfish during his outing. The White Sands Pupfish managed just one hit off of the the Roswell Invaders pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked five and struck out eight during his six innings of work.
Graylin Derke was solid at the plate for the White Sands Pupfish. Derke went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.
Lucas McDonough couldnt get it done on the bump for the White Sands Pupfish, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked six and struck out two.
