An ace performance by Stephen Swagerty hoisted the Great Bend Boom (18-31) to a 6-1 win over the Garden City Wind (28-23) on Friday at Al Burns Field.

Swagerty struck out 11, paving the way for a the Great Bend Boom win. Swagerty allowed one earned run on three hits and six walks over nine innings.

Clayton Truex racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Great Bend Boom. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Austin Boyle (7-2) took the loss for the Garden City Wind. He allowed six runs in eight innings, walked none and struck out seven.
