Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Tucson Saguaros (35-13) outscored the White Sands Pupfish (21-29) 14-10.
The two teams combined for 29 hits in the game.
Michael Rampone racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Tucson Saguaros. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fourth innings.
The White Sands Pupfish couldnt get anything going so long as David Robles was on the hill. Robles held the White Sands Pupfish hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Tyler Herr improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Tucson Saguaros. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.
Andrew Millner (0-2) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
