Tevin Padgett went 2-3 and hit a home run as the Great Bend Boom (16-25) took home a 9-7 victory over the Garden City Wind (23-20) at Clint Lightner on Tuesday. He homered in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Nick Francis went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Garden City Wind. He singled in the fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.

Mathew Lusk improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Great Bend Boom. He allowed two runs over one inning. Lusk struck out one, walked one and gave up two hits.

Cameron Powers couldnt get it done on the mound for the Garden City Wind, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
