An excellent effort by Joey Miller led the Roswell Invaders (22-9) to a 4-3 win over the Trinidad Triggers (18-13) on Sunday at Central Park.
Miller rocked the Trinidad Triggers with two home runs. Miller went 2-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Miller homered in the first and sixth innings.
The Roswell Invaders got their bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Trinidad Triggers. A three-run home run by Miller delivered the runs in the first. The Roswell Invaders had two hits in the inning.
Blake Oliver picked up the win for the Roswell Invaders. Oliver pitched eight innings and allowed three earned runs, seven hits and no walks while striking out two.
Denver Diefenbach (1-1) took the loss for the Trinidad Triggers. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
