A great day by Marty Anderson wasnt enough to carry the Garden City Wind (12-12) to a win on Tuesday, as the Garden City Wind fell to the Alpine Cowboys (12-12) 2-1 at Clint Lightner.
Anderson baffled the Alpine Cowboys, striking out 13 batters. The Garden City Winds pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only two hits.
Pat Lemmo struck out eight, paving the way for a the Alpine Cowboys win. Lemmo allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Connor Kelly (0-1) was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
