TJ Wharton collected three hits as the White Sands Pupfish (7-9) took home a 4-1 victory over the Alpine Cowboys (6-7) at Griggs Park on Thursday. He singled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.

The White Sands Pupfish got the win thanks in large part to Anthony Pastranas dominant, seven-strikeout performance. The White Sands Pupfishs pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits.

Jake Heissler (0-3) took the loss for the Alpine Cowboys. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
