The Trinidad Triggers offense too much for the Garden City Wind in 15-6 rout

5/29/2016-

The Trinidad Triggers (9-2) shut the door early on the Garden City Wind (3-7), capturing a 15-6 victory on Sunday at Central Park.

With eight runs in the first three innings, the Trinidad Triggers left no doubt about the eventual outcome. A solo home run by Trevor Sealey and a three-run home run by Eric Magee in the first inning and a three-run double by Eric William during the second inning fueled the Trinidad Triggers offense early.

Magee racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Trinidad Triggers.

Eli Roundtree racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Garden City Wind. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Even though Joe Robinson allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his first of the season. Robinson struck out six, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Matt Marino ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out one.

The Trinidad Triggers easily handled the Garden City Wind pitching as six hitters combined for 11 hits, 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
