2/1/2015- Great Bend, KS �The Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs is proud to announce its newest team in Great Bend, Kansas. The team will be named the Great Bend Boom. The team will begin play at Al Burns Memorial Field in 2016.
The Boom will wear Orange and Royal Purple as their colors.

The Great Bend Team will play in the Northern Division in the 2016 season with the Topeka Train Robbers, Trinidad Triggers, Garden City Wind and Salina Stockade.
Opening Day will be May 19th in Great Bend hosting Salina.
Spring Training will be in Garden City beginning on May 10th.
Pecos League Commissioner and Owner Andrew Dunn "We are excited to play the 2015 season in Great Bend, I believe it will fit perfectly with the other three Kansas cities in the league. The people are Great Bend have been extremely welcoming ."
Tucson Saguaros Manager JD Droddy "I think it is great addition and it will be very helpful to the Northern Division. I think Kansas is a baseball state and Central Kansas will be great for the Pecos League."
Garden City Wind Field Manager Bill Moore: "I am really glad to have another team that bridges the gap to Topeka, this will make our overall experience better. Travel is very important at this level."
The Great Bend Boom will finalize their coaching staff soon.
The Pecos League is an independent professional baseball league which operates in cities in desert mountain regions throughout New Mexico, Kansas, West Texas and Southern Colorado. Pecos Teams play in cities that do not have Major or Minor League Baseball teams and is not affiliated with either.
