Cody Ellis had two extra base hits, helping the Garden City Wind (18-43) to a 6-1 victory over the Las Vegas Train Robbers (23-39) on Saturday at Central Park. He doubled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth inning.
The Garden City Wind relied on Chip White to eat up innings en route to the win. White allowed one earned run, seven hits and three walks while striking out seven over nine innings of work.
Josh Ganus (1-2) was the games losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in eight innings, walked one and struck out two.
The Garden City Wind were sparked by Albert Gonzalez and Ellis, who teamed up for three hits and four RBIs.
