Friday was a great day for Shane Casey, as he hit two home runs to carry the Trinidad Triggers (39-16) to a 20-3 victory over the Garden City Wind (13-40) at Clint Lightner.
Casey racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He homered in the first and fourth innings and singled in the second and sixth innings.
The Trinidad Triggers didnt let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Trinidad Triggers scored 10 runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. The Trinidad Triggers scored four runs in the seventh on the Trinidad Triggers scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Caleb Baker, , an RBI single by Edmund Cheatham, and a sacrifice fly by Casey.
The Trinidad Triggers relied on Christian Schneider to eat up innings en route to the win. Schneider pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out three.
Brandon Hudson couldnt get it done on the hill for the Garden City Wind, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
The Trinidad Triggers easily handled the Garden City Wind pitching as seven hitters combined for 20 hits, 17 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
