Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Santa Fe Fuego (29-17) outscored the Las Vegas Train Robbers (21-32) 20-13.

The teams totaled 36 hits in the game.

Thirteen runs in the first three innings helped the Santa Fe Fuego blow out the Las Vegas Train Robbers. An RBI double by Eddie Newton, an RBI single by Chevas Numata, and an RBI single by Ruben Rivera in the first inning and a wild pitch, a wild pitch, and a two-run single by Numata during the second inning helped the Santa Fe Fuego put some runs on the board early.

Matt Petrone reached base five times in the game for the Santa Fe Fuego. He scored five runs and had one RBI.

Scott Torrey got his third win for the Santa Fe Fuego despite allowing nine runs over three innings. Torrey struck out none, walked two and gave up 10 hits.

Johnny Harmyk (0-3) took the loss for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.

The Santa Fe Fuego easily handled the Las Vegas Train Robbers pitching as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 12 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
