Three first-inning runs helped the White Sands Pupfish (32-20) to an 8-5 win over the Roswell Invaders (28-25) at Griggs Park on Monday.
The White Sands Pupfish scored in the first on a two-run double by Brandon Burkes and a groundout by Joe Borowski.
Burkes racked up four RBIs on four hits for the White Sands Pupfish.
Demetrus Ingram got the win for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed two runs over six innings. Ingram struck out four, walked one and gave up seven hits.
Corey Lathram couldnt get it done on the mound for the Roswell Invaders, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out seven.
