The bats were busy at Fort Marcy Park on Thursday, and when the dust cleared the Alpine Cowboys (21-15) had a 16-14 win over the Santa Fe Fuego (20-10).

The teams totaled 33 hits in the game.

Derrick Fox racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Alpine Cowboys. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the third, sixth, and eighth innings.

Chevas Numata racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He homered in the third inning and singled in the eighth and ninth innings.

Daniel Thorpe got his third win for the Alpine Cowboys despite allowing 10 runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered 12 hits.

Francisco Rodriguez (2-3) was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed five runs.

The Alpine Cowboys pounded the Santa Fe Fuego pitching, as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
