Ricardo Garcia went 3-3 at the plate as the Las Cruces Vaqueros (10-23) took home a 7-2 victory over the Garden City Wind (9-24) at Apodoca Park on Monday. He singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings.

Michael Ormseth struck out six, paving the way for a the Las Cruces Vaqueros win. Ormseth allowed one earned run on eight hits and one walk over seven innings.

It was a good day at the plate for the Garden City Winds Edgar Munoz. Munoz went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the first and ninth innings.

Chip White pitched lights out for the Garden City Wind. The Las Cruces Vaqueros managed just one hit off of White, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Gabe Cook (2-2) took the loss for the Garden City Wind. He allowed seven runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out four.
