The Alpine Cowboys (13-11) continued to pile up the runs on Friday, scoring five runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 17-6 landslide win over the White Sands Pupfish (14-10) at Griggs Park.
The Alpine Cowboys scored five runs in the first on the Alpine Cowboys scored in the first on a solo home run by Colin Forgey, a three-run home run by Daniel Aldrich, a single by Tim Henry, and a sacrifice fly by Yuta Okazaki.
Aldrich racked up six RBIs on four hits for the Alpine Cowboys.
Daniel Thorpe struck out six hitters en route to the the Alpine Cowboys win. Thorpe allowed one earned run on seven hits and one walk over seven innings.
Alex Embler (2-2) was the games losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked none and struck out none.
The Alpine Cowboys pounded the White Sands Pupfish pitching, as seven hitters combined for 22 hits, 14 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
