Alpine Cowboys 6 Roswell Invaders 0

6/23/2024-After a successful business trip to Tucson that saw the Cowboys win two games, they traveled home to take on the Roswell Invaders. Roswell has struggled to start the season with a 9-14 record. Alpine on the other hand went into this game with a 20-1 record.

Jacob Bradley was on the bump for the Cowboys. Bradley went into this game with an ERA of 4.50. Bradley started off the game with a hit by pitch, but quickly recovered. He ended the inning with a strikeout to get Lucas Scott swinging. Neither team would score until the second inning when the Cowboys scored off of a fielders choice.

In the third inning, Bradley found himself in a bit of a jam with runners on second, and first with two outs. Up to bat was Lucas Scott who leads the Invaders with thirty-five RBI's. Bradley struck him out on three pitches.

Johnny Medina extended Alpine's lead in the fourth inning with a solo home run to make the score two to zero. Jacob Bradley would pitch through six innings while not allowing any runs. His final line was: six innings pitched, 4 hits allowed, zero runs, two walks, and four strikeouts.

Tyler Legere pitched in the seventh inning for Alpine and had a strikeout. In the seventh the cowboys got hot as Drake Angeron scored Johnny Medina on an infield bunt. Wyatt Grant then proceeded to hit an RBI double that scored Angeron. Khalil Wilson then had an RBI double of his own. The Cowboys led five to zero in the seventh.

Dominic Spinoso pitched in the eighth inning for the Cowboys and had a 1-2-3 inning. Alec Cruz came in to pitch for the ninth inning, but that's not before Josh Rego picked up his thirtieth RBI of the season to give Alpine a six to zero advantage. Cruz struck out two batters in the ninth to win it. The Cowboys win this one six to nothing.

On June 24th, The Cowboys close out the series with Roswell at 6:00 PM CST at Kokernot field. Alpine Cowboys 6 Roswell Invaders 0
