A walk-off single from Joey LaCugna brought home the winning run for the Santa Fe Fuego (36-20) in a 5-4 victory over the Taos Blizzard in 11 innings at Fort Marcy Park on Saturday.

Brandon Gonella brought the heat against the Taos Blizzard (19-35) during his outing. Gonella held the Taos Blizzard hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Cory Deigan improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Santa Fe Fuego. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Connor Sullivan (1-2) took the loss for the Taos Blizzard. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
