The High Desert Yardbirds shutout the Roswell Invaders 7-0 to win Game 1 of the Pecos League Championship Series.
Cody Culp completely dominated the Invaders as he threw 7 scoreless innings with 15 strikeouts and 0 walks.
Culp only allowed three hits and turned in one of the all time best playoff apperences in Pecos League History.
The Yardbirds had a very balanced offensive attack with 13 hits 11 of which were singles.
Dominic Zaher, Dylan Kester and Yuta Okazaki all had two hits and two runs scored for the Yardbirds.
Ronnie Grant went 3-5 for the Yardbirds. Shane Brown and Blake Butcher had two hits.
For the Invaders Ty Geary took the loss going six innings allowing 2 runs.
Alex Dandridge pitched 1-1/3 inning allowing 5 runs and 5 hits.
Kyle Perez pitched 2/3 of an inning and Ryan Calby pitched an inning.
Joey Miller had two hits for the Invaders.

The Invaders host the Yardbirds for Game 2 of the playoffs Tuesday Night at 7PM at Joe Bauman.
