Pecos League will expand in 2013
10/23/2012-The Pecos League is expanding for the 2013 season. With the additions of Taos New Mexico, and Las Vegas New Mexico the Pecos League will play with eight teams in 2013. Despite expansion the league will continue to recruit better players and expects to have a better product on the field in the 2013 season. Below is information about the three new cities:
- Taos New Mexico-Taos Blizzard- Taos is located one hour north of Santa Fe and will be an immediate rival of Santa Fe. The Taos Blizzard will get their players from the New York State League. Jay Acton will serve as director of player procurement for this team. He will send very competitive players down to play for the Taos Blizzard. Taos nearly had a team in the Pecos League in 2012 but 2013 will mark the first season for the Pecos League in Taos. Taos will play in the Northern Division.
- Las Vegas New Mexico- Las Vegas Train Robbers- Las Vegas is the perfect location for a Pecos League Team. Located one hour from Taos, one hour from Santa Fe and ninety minutes from Trinidad, Vegas would be the hub of the Northern Division. Vegas would play at Luna CC's City Owned ballpark.

Raton, New Mexico is 21 miles from Trinidad on the New Mexico side of the I-25 Border. Raton features a great ballpark and will be great location for the Pecos League.
