June 22 2017 The Santa Fe Fuego defeated the Alpine Cowboys 13-6 in a seven-inning game at Fort Marcy Park. Santa Fe and Alpine traded four-run first innings before the Cowboys took a 5-4 lead with a run in the second. The Fuego answered with six runs in the fourth and added three more in the sixth to secure the victory.
Santa Fe collected 16 hits, including home runs by Caleb Baker,
Eric Maria and Alex Stubblefield. Baker went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs, while Maria added two hits, two RBIs and two runs.
David Stone drove in three runs, and Stubblefield finished with two hits, four RBIs and three runs.
Matt Haskins had two hits, including a double, and scored twice.
Dan Karasinski earned the win after throwing all seven innings for Santa Fe. He allowed 13 hits and six earned runs while walking one and striking out four.
Luke Wiechec took the loss for Alpine after allowing 13 hits and 10 runs, six earned, in 3 2/3 innings.

Alpine recorded 13 hits, led by
Jonathan Moroneys 3-for-4 performance with two RBIs.
Crisford Adames also drove in two runs, while C. Scura, B. Pugh and R. DeAza each collected two hits. The Cowboys hit four home runs: Scura, Moroney, Adames and
Angel Martinez.
