Scott Shimek took the loss for Alpine after allowing two earned runs on six hits in 6.2 innings, with four walks and six strikeouts.
Thomas Meager worked the final 1.1 innings for Alpine and gave up one hit while striking out two.
Mike Marion provided Alpine's offense with a home run, one RBI and one run scored.
Nick Ochoa had two hits, including a double, and
Zach Welch also collected two hits. For Roswell,
Kevin Hoef had a double, scored once and drove in a run, while
Jake Bruns added a hit and an RBI. All three runs in the game were scored in the sixth inning.
