Pecos League Adjudicator and Former Manager Admits to Extra-Terrestrial Origin
Former Pecos League and American Association Manager and current Pecos League Adjudicator, JD Droddy, has admitted that he was hatched in another galaxy and arrived on Earth at the age of three in 1947. His first contact with Earth occurred near Roswell, New Mexico.After a claim by an unnamed Pecos League Manager that Droddy’s managing ability during the teens (between 2013 and 2017 was “out of this world,” sportscaster, B.S. Hocum, from a TV station in his home town of Colorado Springs interviewed him about the claim. Droddy admitted that it was true.
“Yeah, I was taught the game at an early age on my home planet of Orca, which is in what Earthlings call the Andromeda Galaxy. Things happen at a much more rapid pace there. We are hatched from eggs (much like Earthling fowls) and mature quickly. By the time I was one year old in Earth time, I was an adult and had completed my education. Our astronomical scientists had discovered the Earth game of baseball some time before, and it had become our favorite sport. I wasn’t a good player, but I studied the game and learned the game strategies that proved most successful.”
Hocum moved away from the subject of baseball and asked Droddy more about his home planet. Droddy explained that Orca was about the size of the Earth, but its “star” was smaller than the sun. The planet was much closer to its star and orbited around it much faster than the Earth orbits around the sun, And, things happen at a much faster pace.
“After spending the equivalent of one Earth Year as an intern with a professional baseball team on Orca, I was selected to go on a special “time travel” mission to Earth and infiltrate the Earth game to learn more about how it is played here. That was the year 1947 in Earth time. With a special machine, our anatomical scientists transformed my body to look like an adult Earthling, and I was placed alone into one of our advanced spacecrafts for the journey to Earth. The craft was powered by an ionic generator fueled by a substance I’m not at liberty to disclose. The trip was very fast, but I got a little off course and had a bad landing in the desert of New Mexico, near Roswell. I wasn’t hurt and I scrambled out of the craft and got away before Earthlings arrived. Since I had made the trip alone, when the Earthlings arrived, they found no Orcans, dead or alive.”
Hocum asked Droddy to describe what happened after the crash.
“After I used my portable teleporter to get far enough away from my crashed spacecraft, I found myself in the village of Roswell. I recognized that they spoke the language of English, one of 100 languages I had been programed to speak. I had various types of Earth currency in my pocket, so I used the “American” currency to buy a bus ticket to Texas. There, I used a small machine that I had been given before my departure to transform myself into a small Earthling child so I could “grow up” on Earth, and thus provide a “cover story” for my eventual entry into baseball. I adopted a family in East Texas and reprogramed their brains to believe that I had been born to them in the Earth year of 1944. With that cover, I grew up like normal Earthling American children.”
Hokum asked Droddy how he managed to get involved in professional baseball.
“Well, that was the hard part. I contacted several American Major League teams and asked them to permit me to manage one of their teams. They all threw me out of their respective offices. I moved back to New Mexico not far from the place I had crash landed. I wanted to be near that landing site in case I had to call for rescue from Orca. I used my portable teleporter, attempting to return to the town of Roswell, but miscalculated and ended up in the town of Alamogordo, several miles away.
“Not too long after I arrived a man named Andrew Dunn started a new professional league and chose Alamogordo in 2011 as a location for one of his teams. The team was called the “White Sands Pupfish.” Since I didn’t know what a “pupfish” was (I thought it was some sort of swimming dog), I had to research it to learn that it was a small fish that lived in the desert. I then realized how appropriate the name was for the new team. After hanging around the team for a year, I was offered the opportunity to be the Assistant Manager for their new team in Trinidad, Colorado. The next year I was named Manager of the Trinidad Triggers, thus fulfilling the first step of my assigned mission. I had infiltrated professional baseball on Earth. Thereafter followed stints as the inaugural manager of the Tucson Saguaros, and later the Salina Stockade, which was a “travel team” in the American Association.
”In 2018, I retired from managing baseball. I sent word from here back to Orca that, since I relocated to Paradise on Earth (the Earthlings call it Colorado Springs), I had no desire to return to Orca, where I understand that one of my ex-wives is seeking alimony.
“Now, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.”
