Dublin Pulls Away From San Rafael for 14-8 Victory
The Dublin Leprechauns collected 16 hits and scored nine runs over the final five innings to defeat
the San Rafael Pacifics 14-8 on Thursday night.
Dublin opened the scoring with a run in the first inning and added another in the third. San Rafael
answered with two runs in the bottom of the third to tie the game at 2-2.
The Leprechauns broke the tie with a five-run fifth inning, but the Pacifics responded with four
runs in the bottom half to cut Dublins lead to 7-6. Dublin added one run in the sixth and three in
the seventh before putting the game away with three more runs in the ninth.
Carson Richter powered the Dublin offense by going 4-for-4 with a double, a home run, four runs
scored and four RBIs. He also drew a walk.
Gabriel Sepulveda went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Dylan Leek recorded two hits, including a
triple, scored twice and drove in a run. Timothy Wagner added two hits and two RBIs, while Ivory
Daniels finished with two hits, a run and an RBI.
Damon Hale scored three times, and Dublin also received RBIs from DJ Aceron and Sepulveda. The
Leprechauns stole three bases and took advantage of three San Rafael errors.
San Rafael was led by Aki Buckson, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and four RBIs. Kyle
Guerra also homered and finished with two hits, two runs and three RBIs.
Keith Whitaker added two hits and scored a run for the Pacifics, while Payton Rios drove in San
Rafaels other run. Miles Bergman contributed a pinch-hit double and scored.
Tony Torres closed the game with two scoreless innings for Dublin, striking out five of the six
batters he faced. The Leprechauns bullpen limited San Rafael to two runs over the final 4 2/3
innings as Dublin secured the 14-8 victory.
